Empowering Summer Camps is privately funded. Registration fees support all program activities, rentals and staff. Direct funding through FSCD is not available to us. You would need to speak with your child’s FSCD worker to qualify for funding. We are happy to support you in anyway possible to achieve this - just let us know.
Fees can be paid through Credit Card, Interac E-transfer, and Wire Transfer. Payment details will be provided on the invoice. Receipts can be used towards child care expenses for tax purposes.
Parents can select late child pick-up extra fee of $10/day on the camper registration form.
preparing For Camp
Parents, here is a detailed list of what each camper needs:
A spare change of clothes, personal care items (diapers, wipes, etc.), a white clothing item for tie-dye, a water bottle, and weather-appropriate gear (rain gear, sunscreen, and hats).
Please send your child a packed lunch and snacks each day. We suggest packing things like a sandwich, cheese and crackers, soup in a thermos, etc.
We are a NUT-FREE camp
Every Friday is a Camp-sponsored lunch day. Please ensure you complete the dietary accommodations section of the registration as it assists in planning meal options for this day.
Meal options include: Pizza parties, Burger-Fridays, Hot-Dog lunches and Chicken fingers and fry-yays.
Dietary options will be provided for those who have restrictions that these meals do not meet.
Parents will be informed of the options and provided suggestions to select from.
With the warm weather, we are diligent with making sure the campers drink a lot of water. If your child comes home with a full water bottle, it is likely because we have just filled it up! We will be topping up water bottles on a regular basis throughout the day to make sure the kiddos are staying nice and hydrated.
We recommend labeling all of your child's belongings to ensure they return home with the right items, as campers may have similar-sized belongings.
